Guess who was in town on the 17th of May 2018, the incredible Nils Lofgren! For those who are not a dinosaur, Nils played in a a band called the Grin, later on he joined the E Street band as Bruce requested his services, and you can’t blame Bruce for the request, he can sing, dance, trampoline while playing guitar, plays another gazillion instruments and is the most humble and down to earth person you meet.
Nils played the Liverpool Philharmonic and shortly after 20.00 pm came on stage to a thunderous welcome starting of his show as part of the 50 years on the road tour. An evening full entertainment with songs,stories and of course his brilliant music moving musically through the various parts of his career. Accompanied by as Nils calls it ”The Band” the so multi talented Greg Varlotta, you have two exceptional musicians on stage here.
2 Hours and 10 minutes later Nils closed the show with Shining Silently. But the show wasn’t over, hell no… it’s up to the bar where Nils signed anything you wanted within reason of course. I was lucky enough to be given a set list of the night by his wife the lovely Amy and go this signed by Nils. To make this even extra special, as it was my birthday Nils signed it with 2 Michel Happy Birthday love Nils Lofgren! Fantastic!!
All I can say here is go out and see and support this wonderfully talented musician, you won’t be disappointed as you will have a fantastic evening!
